Commercial & Marketing Support Assistant Role

Salary:

Basic salary is based on experience and will range from £12k to £20k p.a. fulltime with the prospect for individual and team bonuses based on business success as well as early pay rises and more responsibility for high achievers. It will particularly suit a college or university graduate who is studying for or completed an up to date marketing or business qualification. It may well also suit one or more part time workers and returning to work persons who have kept their skillset and knowledge up to date.

20 days holiday plus English bank holidays on top, increasing by 1 bonus day for each calendar year (up to 26 days plus bank holidays). We have an opening for someone who is keen to use their existing IT end user skills and interest in digital marketing communications. Candidates should also be interested in information security management and cyber security as everything we do revolves around those topics. The role is initially about supporting the marketing, customer success, inside sales and partnering professionals. It can also quickly evolve into much more for someone who shows a hunger to grow and delivers the right results, although we are also very happy to find someone that wants to do a great job and stay at this level too! 

Depending on salary expectations and experience the successful candidate will be

 

  • Supporting the senior management team on a range of jobs that need to get done 
  • Helping improve and implement new processes & practices as we go to the next scale
  • Updating the website content and doing SEO fundamentals
  • Proofing and publishing approved articles in other channels
  • Writing appropriate content and getting your own work published   
  • Collating statistics, analysing, reporting on sales, marketing results and sharing ideas for improvement
  • Conducting research and acting on recommendations from findings
  • Sourcing content from partners, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Setting up webinars, meetings and other events for team members
  • Conducting first line support for website enquiries and answering partner, customer and prospective buyer’s questions
  • Undertaking suitable financial administration and invoice management 
  • Capable of doing commercial tasks and administrative support as required
  • Effective at some office basics like making the tea, bringing in the milk and keeping the office banter going 

The role also requires:

  • Confidence with end user IT and easily able to use applications like WordPress, social media, Google and Microsoft applications e.g. PPT/Slides, Sheets/Excel and Word/Docs as well as email, other collaboration tools
  • An ability to do basic video editing and manipulation of images is helpful but not necessary immediately
  • Someone who can type fast whilst getting work done, with good grammar and understanding of the English language, in particular for written work (we do not use paper and everyone works quickly so this role needs to keep up too)
  • An ability to comfortably converse in plain English with people over the phone and a great telephone manner 
  • Being well organised and able to complete varied work tasks without micro management
  • Good time management with discipline to keep focused and achieve results
