Software Sales Business Development

We are looking for a highly motivated and commercially driven sales professional for our fast-growing cyber security SaaS compliance software, Operating in one of the most exciting SaaS markets globally already has customers and partners from all over the world.

As a result of our recent successes with we have recently completed a fundraising to super charge the next phase of growth. That investment has been focused on growing the team and putting in place the sales and marketing infrastructure we need to exceed our big ambitions. We’ve already hired many staff during lockdown for marketing and sales enablement, and are now adding more resource to the sales team itself.

We are looking for a true consultative software sales professional who can engage and sell by webinar as there is no need to travel to a customer or prospect site. We want someone who understands the business criticality of the product they are selling and can articulate the value of this powerful solution. The ideal candidate will have the hunger to drive new business through a range of well known digital channels, being able to open and close deals, working them through the whole lifecycle very successfully.

As part of Business Development, your primary objective will be to win new business. You will be part of our direct sales team – nurturing, pitching, demoing, negotiating, and closing deals to prospects that have either been generated by your own efforts, or by our inbound marketing engine. Although the sales team benefits from strong inbound lead channels you will still be expected to hunt for new opportunities through prospecting, networking, researching and yes, picking up the phone! You will be very effective alone whilst also being a great team member in the wider office environment.
Success will be measured on converting a high volume of deals across a range of customer groups, not one or two high value deals every six months.

You will be a genuine solution sales professional with an in-depth knowledge of consultative selling. Your experience in software sales will be evident and you will need to demonstrate your understanding of the SaaS sales process. You will most definitely have an entrepreneurial flair and be able to combine that with great success in selling complex technology solutions. Your ability to manage multiple stakeholders through the sales process will be evident. You will already be conversant with the topic of information security, or be a quick and willing learner in the subject.

Our expectation is that you will see sales targets as something to beat, not meet, and you will be rewarded well when this happens. We expect a good attention to detail and you’ll need to be comfortable in managing your pipeline and showing you are in control of your work.

Skills & Experiences:

  • The most important aspect is that you are a proven sales professional and can demonstrate your previous success across SaaS or show an appreciation for the compliance and information security sector.
  • A min 3 year background in multi-channel sales ideally within a technology high growth focused business, ideally SaaS and compliance
  • Passionate about sales as a profession with a genuine understanding and belief in consultative selling, staying up to date on new techniques that help show positive results.

Salary, package and benefits will include:

  • Attractive base salary of £30k-£35k with a highly attractive and genuinely uncapped bonus scheme on top. We would expect a realistic OTE of between
  • £60-70k, however this could be much higher.
