The Ideal Person?

Maybe an information security officer today or perhaps a consultant with experience in the field, a proven SaaS customer service manager or IT support executive.  This might be your chance to make a difference for organisations all over the world and be part of something revolutionary.

You will be enthusiastic around cyber & information security, able to demonstrate how you stay up to date in this fast moving exciting industry.  You have probably been involved in implementations of ISO 27001 or related standards in the recent past, ideally in a role that includes developing policies and controls that have been certified by an independent body.  You may have been involved in IT security, auditing or other information management work.

You will have good coaching and customer engagement skills including being a confident communicator, verbally and in writing. Analytical with a problem solving mindset, you are able to demonstrate the ability to research a requirement and provide pragmatic solutions. Your confident use of IT within a paperless and virtual working environment is already embedded as a habit and will be easy for you to get in step with our ways of working.

Role Responsibilities

Our software is easy to use and being SaaS is very simple for a customer to adopt so there is very little help needed there other than planning and coordination support on kick-off activity.  Some of our customers are however new to information security management systems so require more education support and help around understanding standards, perhaps developing specific policies & controls with them too.  Others will be very experienced and might only need a friendly call from time to time to see how they are progressing.

You will be responsible for the adoption success of all customers and rewarded accordingly. Core job responsibilities include the following:

Customer Adoption and Growth

  • Plan and lead customer adoption of the platform (all done remotely and only by exception will any customer site activity take place)
  • Collaborate with the sales and technical teams where required on adoption
  • Manage and resolve support needs of the customers including keeping them on track to meet their goals
  • Help customers with simple information security gap analysis and prioritisation work
  • Help customers adopt and adapt policies & controls
  • Help customers develop and add their own relevant policies & controls
  • Help customers develop and extend their service into other complementary areas
  • Identify needs and develop effective adoption support and coaching materials, whether by video, written user guide, webinar or other media
  • Continuously improve and enhance the standard Adopt, Adapt, Add documentation e.g. taking into account new regulations like EU GDPR
  • Run client community activity to ensure they are always abreast of new ways of working, new features and initiatives we are involved in that might help them
  • Qualify other customer needs and introduce specialist partners into customers where required (e.g. large implementation support packages, legal advice, government security specialists etc).

Pre-Sales Engagement and Marketing Support

As our in-house information security practitioner you can also build your own reputation externally with prospects and clients by working with our sales and marketing team.  The goal is to develop low cost/no cost practical materials that help prospects and customers learn more about information security and reinforce how can help them with their goals.  This will include written materials and videos/webinars.  Other activities to support sales and pre sales will include participating in demonstrations, exhibitions, seminars and networking events.

In-house ISMS development

As you might expect we use to manage our own ISMS.  Like all organisations serious about information security we continue to improve the system. This role will be active in that process, ensuring we stay ahead and can continue to develop with our customers feedback and needs in mind.

The package and working environment

Salary is likely to be between £25-40k starting salary dependent on experience, with bonuses for ensuring successful adoption and renewal.  There are other benefits in the provision of tools to get the job done, training and cracking career development opportunities. It is a full-time role based out of our Brighton office however UK remote working would be considered for the right person.

You will be comfortable working alone and with a small team to meet the customers needs quickly and affordably. Our parent organisation, Alliantist, and its other established cloud service pam is trusted in its markets and this service is going the same way too based on our early successes.

We only work digitally so you need to be very comfortable in using technology for everything we do. We are also continuing to invest and grow so you need to be excited by change and the opportunities that brings.  If you are ambitious and demonstrate success quickly, career growth is almost certainly an option as we continue to build and scale.

Because of the work we do there are certain information security standards involved so as part of any hiring we will need to conduct security checks and relevant interview activities.
