Achieve NIST 800-171
National Institute of Standards & Technology
What is NIST 800-171, what does it mean for you, & how can ISMS.online help?
Protecting controlled unclassified information (CUI)
Clause 252.204.7012 in the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Special Publication 800-171 states that federal contractors and some subcontractors must follow the controls that specify the set up of IT systems and policies in relation to unclassified information.
If you are a contractor who holds US federal government information on non-federal systems, it is understandable that the governments would want to standardise the cyber and information security, and data protection defences of those contractors.
ISMS.online can provide you with a framework to get you on the way to certification.
Each chapter of the NIST 800-171 certification is found in the NIST requirements project area of the ISMS.online platform. Work through each stage until complete, then use ISMS.online to continue the standard.
