Who is the UK Information Commissioner?
The present Information Commissioner in the UK is Canadian born Elizabeth Denham. She was appointed in July 2016 and has set out strong stances on data protection and information privacy for individual citizens.
Elizabeth Denham, in her role as the ICO’s Information Commissioner, enforces the Data Protection Act and the GDPR.
