At ISMS.online (IO), our mission is simple. To make information security management effortless. And that means helping you stay compliant not just once a year, but every single day.

This October, we’re taking a significant step forward in that journey with two powerful new integrations: Microsoft Entra and Microsoft Intune.

These integrations connect IO directly to your Microsoft ecosystem, giving you live compliance insights across identity and endpoint security without manual evidence gathering or spreadsheet updates.

Why This Matters

Many of our customers already rely on Microsoft 365 for identity, collaboration, and device management. Whether it’s authenticating users with Entra ID or managing laptops and mobile devices with Intune, critical security signals already live within the Microsoft suite.

With these new integrations, IO becomes the bridge between Microsoft security operations and your compliance management.

Now, when your Microsoft environment shows an endpoint is non-compliant or multi-factor authentication (MFA) isn’t fully enforced, that information automatically appears inside IO, giving you real-time visibility and control over critical security controls.

Microsoft Entra: Live Authentication and MFA Compliance

Microsoft Entra governs how your users authenticate and access systems. It’s responsible for enforcing MFA, conditional access, and identity protection.

Within IO, Entra now provides live compliance data showing your organisation’s MFA enforcement and authentication posture. This directly supports ISO 27001 controls such as 5.17 (authentication information), 8.27 (secure system architecture and engineering principles) and 8.28 (secure coding).

The result: effortless, ongoing proof that your access controls are working as intended; continuously, not just at audit time.

Microsoft Intune: Continuous Endpoint Assurance

Microsoft Intune is Microsoft’s endpoint management solution for company devices such as laptops, mobile devices, and tablets. It checks that devices meet configuration and security requirements such as encryption, OS version, and patching. With our new Intune integration, IO automatically pulls live device compliance data into your platform.

That means:

  • Real-time visibility of whether each device meets your organisation’s policies
  • Instant evidence for ISO 27001 control 8.1 (user endpoint devices)
  • No more manual device checks, screenshots, or chasing IT for reports.

You can now see at a glance whether your endpoint environment is compliant, and have that evidence automatically ready for audits.

These new features deliver precisely what our customers have been asking for:

  • Ongoing assurance: Real-time compliance visibility across key controls
  • Automation: Live data replaces manual evidence collection
  • Confidence: Continuous proof that your identity and endpoint security measures are in place and effective.

It’s another step towards what we call Continuous Control, where compliance never falls behind operations.

How It Works

Once connected, the integrations automatically sync data from Microsoft Intune and Entra into IO.

You’ll see new compliance indicators within your platform showing:

  • Device compliance status (Intune)
  • MFA adoption and authentication health (Entra).

These signals update dynamically, keeping your ISMS always aligned with your Microsoft environment. If a laptop becomes non-compliant or an MFA policy is disabled, you’ll know.

Part of Our Broader Microsoft Strategy

The Entra and Intune integrations build on a rapidly expanding ecosystem of Microsoft connections inside IO.

Over the past year, we’ve launched:

  • Entra ID (SSO + SCIM) – Automated identity provisioning and single sign-on to streamline user management and strengthen security at scale.
  • Microsoft Teams – Track IO tasks and approvals right inside Teams; turn collaboration into compliance momentum.
  • Microsoft Outlook + To Do – Push IO tasks into personal calendars to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

Together with Entra and Intune, these integrations deliver a connected compliance experience inside the Microsoft 365 suite.

Your teams can evidence controls, manage tasks, and monitor compliance all without leaving the tools they already use every day. This is our Microsoft Integration strategy in action: To embed IO into the heart of your Microsoft ecosystem, turning everyday workflows into continuous compliance.

See It in Action

With Microsoft Entra and Intune now part of IO, your platform becomes more connected, more intelligent, and more effortless than ever.
